InFrame Synapse Framework

The InFrame Synapse Framework component provides core functionality for the InFrame Synapse Product Family that includes, release/change management, workflow management, user access management and reporting as well as a specialized framework for equipment integration.

The Release / Change Mgmt component ensures that all changes of MES master data will result in new versions that are stored persistently. Thereby a complete history of all maintained MES master data (e.g. process plans, resources, materials, recipes, workflows etc.) is available. Through a previously defined release workflow these changed can be released together for production.

InFrame Synapse components can be adapted or extended easily via workflows. Workflows are executed in each component by the so called Workflow-Engine and are implemented using the standard Java programming language. All workflows are under version and release management control. This ensures that also for changes of workflows a complete change history is available and a consistent state is released for production.

The InFrame Synapse Framework incorporates through the User Access Management component the possibility to connect to LDAP or ActiveDirectory for single login user authentification. Users and user groups can therefore by created and managed within enterprise wide LDAP/AD directory. Giving user or user group rights for individual functionalities take place within InFrame Synapse components.

The Reporting component enables the creation of reports over all stored MES data (e.g. tracking and resource data, production results etc.) in printable formats. Graphical diagrams can be incorporated flexibly. Reports are defined in a graphical user interface and thus can be adapted and extended by the user. It is possible to apply powerful filters and grouping functionalities to be used within reports. Reports can either be created online by user interaction or on a regular basis (e.g. creation of daily or weekly reports).
