acp-IT’s PLC-Connector (SEMI PV02) provides a configurable bridge between equipment and the MES.
The PLC-Connector consists of two software modules that allow the integration of production equipment with existing controller software into a MES using e.g. SEMI PV02 as interface. The interface is compliant to SEMI’s PV02 Standard for equipment integration within the Photovoltaic industry. The usage of this connector allows an equipment provider to supply their equipment with a PV02 compliant interface with minimal effort. No detailed knowledge on the underlying protocols is needed. The connector supports status tracking based on SEMI E-10.
Flexible two layer approach
The separation of the InFrame Synapse PLC-Connector in two layers distributes the load between the PLC and a controller PC. The PLC only collects data and events and receives commands. All transformation, tracking and the processing of SECS data collections is done within a more powerful PC. Alarming can be configured and mapped to different events from the PLC.
