Equipment Modeling
Equipment modeling is a key aspect when designing a virtual FAB. Each type of equipment has its own particularities and must be modeled according to the real life industrial usage. After having all the equipments composing a FAB modeled, they can be put together in a system where the remaining issue would be the modeling of the material flow.
When modeling equipments with the help of AnyLogic and acp-IT’s InFrame Synapse Simulation Suite the process is made much easier. Predefined equipments can be dragged and dropped on the layout and parameters like capacity, yield, processing time, downtimes and many other characteristics can be locally set. Connections between equipments are realized by the use of wires, which connect in/out ports of two or several equipments.
The clip below shows three simple steps to model equipments and make them work in a common example of a tiny virtual FAB.
