Within the Synapse MES Operator Skill & Shift Management component operators and/or engineers can be assigned to one or more skills and shift plans.
Given skills are checked during execution against defined skill constraints of resources and processes. In addition for each skill the time period of validity for each skill can be defined, which means by when a specific skill requires training to be refreshed. Definition of so called skill sets allow grouping of skills for more easy assignment of users and user groups.
The definition of single or multiple shift plans and assignment of resources are possible. Given skill and shift plan setups can be used within the Job and Dispatch Management or the Advanced Planning and Scheduling Management for automatic rule based optimization of routing (e.g. to optimize cycle times, resource utilization etc.).
